Penshoppe Spring / Summer 2011

I regrettably wasn't able to attend the last night of Philippne Fashion Week Spring / Summer 2011, because I was starting to feel like I caught the “fashion flu.” I did and I am thinking it's a 24 hour thing, because I am just now starting to feel better and ready to go to the “TOAST: Si Ning, Si Kul, Si Tura” dinner meeting to tackle our plans for our exhibit early next year at least for a half hour or so.

I sat in my room today and looked at all of the shows that I had to miss online. Cesar Gaupo was off the charts magnificent, because it was all-out young girl glamour. It blows my mind how Gaupo can do it year, after year, after year. He is the maestro. Every dress he makes is a piece of art. I managed first thing this morning, to look at Gerry Katigbak online, and what a show I missed! It was spectacular. Every girl who loves fashion, or even doesn't love fashion, is going to want a piece of that collection. Something effortless about the entire collection, I want it all.

Penshoppe takes us on a walk in the streets of London and step-up to a different  level of casual wear. The New Urbanite Collection is conquered by shades of black, gray and blue in variety of pieces inspired by today's modern street style.

The show is all about  military-inspired pieces, destroyed and re-constructed denims and adapted tailored active wear. It also lurks into dark romantics, and 40’s – 50’s  vintage glamour looks, all put together in a new layers.

Penshoppe clothing magnificently revived  its look, looking far beyond  its target market –the preppy-yuppies and modern-professionals.  They fed us up a different taste that fashionistas like me really crave for. That, it is not only about Tee and Jeans… it is also about something new… something classic but re-invented adapting the synergy of variety.

I really enjoyed sharing my fashion week experiences. Thank you! Until the next fashion week!

Your Designer 101,
Anthony
