Fashionably Fun Thrift Store Shopping

I love shopping - that is if my budget allows me :-) - Well, honestly, I always shop at Ukay-Ukays and thrift stores before heading to the “regular” stores – and nine times out of ten, I don’t even need to hit the regular stores.  Last night, me and my friends went to this (Sorry I can’t tell you the name of the store) thrift store with only one ultimate  GOAL: - TO FIND THE CHEAPEST (AT LEAST BRANDED) ITEM TO WEAR ON FRIDAY!

Here are some tips for getting the most out of your thrift store shopping experience.

1.) Be Ready for Surprises – Thrift store shopping is a hit or miss chances. You need to make sure that what you will purchase is actually what you need. Since last week I’ve been planning to buy a new shoes in replacement of my old blue canvass plimsol which I bought from New Look. And Voila! In an instant I have this red Tommy Hilfiger Tennis shoes.

Buy items on the spot.

Chances are, others will buy it.

Look for Special Offers.

2.) Look for quality brands – Calvin Klein , Abercrombie and Fitch, H&M, Zara , Converse– sounds pricy? But not in the thrift stores. You just have to dig for it, but it is there. And when you found it, you will be surprised how lucky you are  - expensive clothing’s become in-expensive in thrift shops, they are just waiting to be found.
Kuya Jim and Ate Ann, be patient!
Check all the racks, you might miss out a great item if you don't.

Look for Thrift stores with nice and clean displays.

3.)  Try New brands – Don’t just focus on the brands that you know. Because, sometimes the brand that you don’t know are actually high-end European brands. Just check for holes, stains, or any damages, or else ask your friend if it looks worn out or if it still looks like in good quality.

4.) Fit them on – although this is a bit nasty. But the thing is some clothes look good on the hanger or mannequin, however, sometimes it is not when you’ve worn them . My friend Sam found this A&F tee. He never let it go 'till he get to the cashier.

Ok, for now I think these are enough. I have so much washing to do!
