Fashion style is very important. Your clothes and the way you dress say a lot about who you are. It is like a mirror which everyone loves to see. When it comes to finding your personal style, it’s not just about clothes, and accessories, but rather about how you feel about yourself, and mostly about (right) attitude. The idea of choosing a fashion style must balance both inner and outer beauty.
You strongly need a change of style but you just don't know where to start from? Here are a few basic steps to follow, so you can be sure that what you wear flatters you and is comfortable. Finding a personal fashion style is a full process that must be done step by step. (For some people, it is really sad to think that it takes years to master and come up a perfect style for him/herself.) It can be compared with a journey meant to find your own identity, because, above all, personal style is the perfect reflection of who you truly are.
1. Be honest
Before starting the entire process of searching your fashion style, you must first learn some things about your body shape and what clothes work best for you. You can also pick a body part that you believe best defines you. (Visit the shops of “For Me”. They have different clothes that defines your assets and conceal your flaws. Whether you’re body type is Hour glass, Inverted Triangle, Rectangle, or Triangle) Be completely realistic and honest with yourself and you'll be able to avoid clothes that emphasize your flaws and choose the ones that show off the qualities.
(Soon I’ll be discussing this 4 women body types.)
2. Find a fashion muse

Look through magazines or on the internet for pictures of celebrities whom style you truly admire. (I love the styles of Vanessa Hudgens, Lauren Conrad and Anne Hathaway for Hollywood and Donita Rose and Heart Evangelista for the locals.) Notice and pay attention to their style, how they wear it and try to adopt it, but keeping a personal touch. You can check out what this celebrity wears, take notes on how she wear different items, what colors look good on her. Taking fashion notes from a celebrity is also a good way to get a feel for how your body type may look in different types of clothing. Look for a fashion icon who looks like you, has a similar body type and a similar sense of personal style. (But don’t be a “wanna-be” of that icon).
If you have a certain “fashion icon celebrity” that you want to know their fashion styles. Drop her name and I will try to dissect every detail in her wardrobe…
3.Favorite accessory

“Fashion is not about utility. An accessory is merely a piece of iconography used to express individual identity…Devil Wears Prada” This is the exciting part. You have plenty of accessories? Pick one that you love the most and try wearing it frequently. (I can’t leave the house without my Sun glasses during hot summer morning and a preppy eye glasses during rainy seasons.) In a short period of time, this accessory will become the key element of your wardrobe and finally it will help you create your own personal style. For example, if you'll start wearing a headband you might start adopting a girlish, preppy style. You could also start building your style by gradually adding accessories like bracelets or necklaces, handbags or shoes that could finally replace your old style. “Atin Ito” offers wide variety of ethnic accessories, made by our fellow Filipinos.
4. Decide upon a color
What is your favorite color? Open your closet and look what color most of your clothes have? Most of us have clothes in neutral colors like brown, grey and black. You must look for the first color which is not neutral. That is the color you love to wear, but you never think of it as the first option whenever going shopping. You should also know what colors suit you best according to your complexion and hair color. And remember “Colors are friends of their neighbors and love by their opposites” which means, when deciding which color to wear always think whether these colors will look good in homochromatic look or in Pop 80’s look.
5. Make a mood board
On a free weekend, put together different outfits and ask an HONEST AND TRUSTED friend to take pictures of you, and can give you opinions and comments on your look. Don't confine yourself to classic combinations. Be bold and try something new, mix colors you normally wouldn't, and dress like a movie star. Feel free to add accessories and different shoes. Play around and this will reveal your creativity and will help you create your personal style.
6. Street fashion blog
Search for street fashion blogs to see how women wear urban style. Street fashion has recently made its way into the world of blogs. An increasing number of blogs capture the coolest fashionistas in the world showing how trends are being applied in the street. These blogs represent a great source of inspiration for you to see different color combinations, as well to observe outfits on different body shapes. Look for Japan street styles, Korean street styles, France and other fashion forward countries

Always remember not to wear the latest trends just because everyone else does it. If you don't find it appropriate for your own taste, you should just stay classic as it's a style that will never go out of fashion.
Don’t forget about the hair, which must be in harmony your fashion style.
Always be trendy but try not to look like a fashion victim.
Wear everything with confidence as this is the most important accessory.
