This style expresses a clean, prim and proper look. Where classic style is polished, neat, even orderly. For women, earrings are not loud and don’t carry a bold statement. Men are well groomed, and jeans and a sports blazer make a regular ensemble. It is more of an approach to dressing.
Preppys essentially seek to bring down the formality of their real or imagined prep school sartorial codes while keeping them intact. The preppy fashion style has slightly evolved into trendy status.
