What Is Your Fashion Statement?

In the world of fashion the only permanent is “CHANGE”.  In order to be always on top,  a real fashionista must attend the call of the industry… CHANGING FASHION! When you hit the streets, scan the latest magazines issues, or browse the net, you will notice that fashion is not only about you and me. You will see different fashion style, walking and dancing in front of your eyes. Then you will start asking yourself, How can I blend in? Here I pinpoint some fashion genres that you can mimic. The following looks are helpful  to have your desired style:

Classic
This style expresses a clean, prim and proper look. Where classic style is polished, neat, even orderly. For women, earrings are not loud and don’t carry a bold statement. Men are well groomed, and jeans and a sports blazer make a regular ensemble. It is more of an approach to dressing.

Preppy
Preppys essentially seek to bring down the formality of their real or imagined prep school sartorial codes while keeping them intact. The preppy fashion style has slightly evolved into trendy status. Staples still remain collared button-ups, polo shirts, khakis, argyle prints and a clean-cut appearance.

Bohemian / Hippie
In the world of fashion Bohemian, Boho or the Hippie chic, refers to a a state of mind regarding fashion that is individual, romantic, and free-spirited. Different flavors represents the bohemian / hippie style and it also reflects the beachy, quirky, eclectic or kitschy cool classification. It radiates freedom with loose tunics, tousled hair, headbands, fedoras, and other fun accessories including cocktail rings and stacked bangles.

Rock / Funk
Punk fashion has been extremely commercialized at various times, and many well-established fashion designers — such as Vivienne Westwood and Jean Paul Gaultier
A funky rock look is edgy with bold accents that can be expressed with hairstyle and hair color, lipstick or accessories. Clothing pieces include black leather jackets and dark shirts with funky designs.

Skater / Alternative
The skater or alternative style also has different ranges including the extreme emo style characterized by tight skinny jeans, long frontal hair and dark eye makeup (guys included).

Goth Glam
The goth glam fashion category is a classy version of gothic but ensembles still retain dark and gloomy colors like black, navy and burgundy.

Girly Glam / Boy Next Door
Girly glam outfits hug the body more tightly and are replete with pink, loud and sparkly accessories, high stilettos and platforms.

Urban Hip-Hop
In the street scene, gold chains, diamond earrings and baseball caps have always been standard for men. Urban clothes for women include many brown and tan outfits, bold designs, along with large hoop earrings, thick platforms and tight up-dos.

Now tell me, which of these is your style?
