A 14-year-old Kapampangan wins Ford Models' Supermodel of the World Philippines 2011

A 14-year old Kapampangan and the youngest in this year’s batch of contestants in Ford Models Supermodel of the World Philippines 2011 is the center of attention of all the judges and viewers during the night of competition on May 14 at SMX Mall of Asia, Pasay City –she is SAMANTHA GOMEZ!

Towering a height of 5’10”, she will now be the country’s representative to the Ford Models’ Supermodel of the World contest to be held in New York this August. Her runners-up were Maria Mopera and Manuela Basilio, both amazing and enviable.

Danica Magpantay, also a Filipina bested the crown for last year competition. It is indeed a big shoes to fill in for Samantha.

According to a press release via spot.ph, Gomez will receive a one-year modeling contract with CalCarrie's International Models Philippines, formal training at Masters School for Models, and a roundtrip ticket to New York plus pocket money. In New York, she has a chance to win $250,000 worth of modeling contracts with Ford Models New York.

The said event is part of 2011 Philippine Fashion Week Spring – Summer fashion show series.
